RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

Exchange or Store Credit within two weeks of purchase date. Product must be unworn, in original condition and packaging. Product must be sent back to our Chicago studio at purchaser’s expense.

Vintage was made before you, worn by someone else and not produced by SBD. Therefore, we cannot warrant the longevity, manufacturing or origin of these pieces. They are delicate and to be treated/stored with extra care. All vintage sales are final.

GENERAL TERMS

MUTUAL TRUST & TIMELINES
Stella Blue Design prioritizes our exclusive jewelry for repairs, sizings & modifications. Outside repairs are considered case-by-case as a courtesy to existing clients. All services MUST abide by mutual trust & respect for stated timelines.
Signature or written/email approval confirms understanding and agreement with all timelines, fees, and policies below.
Custom and repair work are non-refundable. Zelle / ACH payments are final once processed.
Jewelry must remain insured by the owner under their homeowner’s or renter’s policy. Regular maintenance—inspections, tightening, plating, resizing, and re-tipping—is essential for preservation and safety.

REPAIRS
• 3–4 weeks minimum for SBD expedited repairs.
• Non-SBD, vintage & custom repairs: 6–8 weeks minimum.
• Peak holiday seasons = double timeframes.
• Multiple repairs require extended timeframes.
• $40 service fee + labor & materials.
• No estimates under $200 unless requested (adds time).
• Estimates may vary ±20% based on labor, time & materials.

CUSTOM WORK
• Custom/redesign projects = 3–4 month minimum.
• Allow 6–8 weeks for accurate estimates.
• Multiple pieces require multiple timeframes.

CUSTOM ESTIMATES / DESIGNER FEE
$500 Designer Fee = retainer to begin your project & secure your place in the design queue.
Covers up to 5 hours of material sourcing, CAD → Wax → Cast Mold phases, and designer communication / consultation.
Additional time billed at $120/hr (excludes setting, engraving, refining, shipping—itemized in estimate).
Once estimate approved, CAD rendering begins. Deposits for custom work not yet in production = store credit only.

ESTIMATE GUARANTEES
• Evaluation, sourcing, weighing & vendor RFPs required.
• Final costs may vary by labor & materials.
• Accepted estimates guaranteed 10 business days.

VINTAGE & ESTATE JEWELRY
• Previously owned, sold unwarranted & final sale.
• Appraisals available upon request (additional fee).
• Red-lined, consignment & modified merchandise = final sale.

SERVICE TERMS
• Custom & modified designs are made exclusively for you and non-refundable.
• Deposits for custom work not in production = store credit only.
• Discounts / coupons cannot be applied to custom or repair work.

COMMUNICATION POLICY
• SBD will contact you when your repair, estimate, or custom update is ready.
• Only reach out if you haven’t heard from us by the stated date.
• Frequent follow-ups delay production and may add cost.
